A Soulful Track Featuring Cee-Lo Gets the Stop-Motion Video Treatment

Soul singer icon Bobby Caldwell, who had his heyday in the late 70s and 80s, has been lately mounting a bit of a resurgence, partnering with producer Jack Splash and putting out music under the name Cool Uncle. It’d be a charming idea, even if the music weren’t really much good — but it is. Smooth, soulful and nostalgic in all the ways good elevator-friendly pop can be, it worms┬áits way into your head and heart and you’ll find yourself humming along to it while browsing the supermarket aisles. Adding an additional silky voice like Cee-Lo’s to the mix works quite well, and now you can enjoy seeing the entire group’s Claymation alter-egos perform their song “Mercy” to some zoo animals, thanks to stop-motion videographer Joseph Baughman.
