On Oct. 6, head to Brooklyn and immerse yourself fully in over a dozen different stories and environments when the Kaleidoscope VR Film Festival touches down in DUMBO. Part of a 10-city tour, this is a chance to experience the newest innovation in virtual reality filmmaking, with engaging discussions, artist presentations and VR demos. From the event site:
“We’ve curated 20 amazing virtual reality experiences made by independent artists from around the world. Come celebrate the pioneers of virtual reality filmmaking with an evening of artist presentations, VR demos, and engaging discussions.
And thanks to our sponsors Vrideo and Samsung you’ll have the opportunity to experience the full line-up of films on Gear VR and Oculus Rift headsets.”
Films being presented range from colorful animations, like the first animated VR cartoon titled Butts, to the live-action 360 video Uplift which lets you follow the life of a balloon. Explore new, imaginary worlds or throw yourself into the middle of the Cirque Du Soleil stage — the range of films on offer will stretch the limits of your imagination.
While general admission tickets are already sold out, you can still purchase VIP passes here.
