Sometimes, juxtaposition occurs naturally. This is the SS Ayrfield, a 102 year old repurposed steam collier that at one point was scheduled to be dismantled and salvaged in Homebush Bay Sydney. Serendipitously, before being completely pulled apart, operations at the ship breaking yard ceased. Left floating in the bay, the ship over time was gradually overtaken by vegetation, becoming a floating forest in the once chemically overrun Homebush Bay.
