This beautiful photo of the Earth is the first of it’s kind. Photography students from Harrington College set out on August 29th 2013 with one goal in mind – to go where no toy camera has gone before. Armed with four Holga cameras, and a weather balloon, they launched them to the edge of space.
Out of the four, one camera returned with the photograph. This inspiring video shows us the suspenseful journey to the limits of the atmosphere, and just how challenging it was to get such a photograph. This was the second of two launches, the project taking a couple of weeks longer than the students semester at Harrington.
