Store Front

Right! The old, small, Tabac-style stores really define Paris, and it still feels alive in parts of New York and Brooklyn. The butcher/tailor/pharmacy/cobbler shops divide a giant, overwhelming city into manageable, even familiar, neighborhoods, each one a self-sufficient urban village.
