French designer Benoit Missolin specializes in what you’d call ‘statement pieces’ – the statement being, I guess, ‘I’ve got bunny ears on’ or something to that effect. Take a look at the full range of his collection, though, and you’ll see it’s not all as overtly cutesy as that. Mixed in with the mouse and rabbit ears are headbands of leather and lace, and a flower-in-bloom that’s a particularly elegant use of latex. I’m especially taken with the hat displayed above, in a beige pig suede, that’s both refined and relaxed with a wide fringe brim for protection on a sunny Parisian day.
