This clock, smartly designed by Jonas Damon in 2006, reminds me of something.

And simple is what the designer seemed to have in mind with his deconstructed take on the alarm clock. Arrange the blocks horizontally or vertically; power it with AC adaptor or three AAA batteries.
Speaking of simple, could it possibly be any easier to cast Dave Gahan in a Depeche Mode biopic?
